About

John Larsen is a multidisciplinary artist that explores themes of absurdity, humor, alienation and how they shape identity.

For eleven years Larsen worked for for Michael Curry Design, an internationally acclaimed production studio specializing in kinetic sculpture, theatrical design and large scale puppetry. As Art Director he lead projects for Cirque du Soleil, the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal National Theater, Disney Productions and Universal Pictures.

He works and collaborates with his spouse Vicki Lynn Wilson in Portland, Oregon.

Michael Curry Design ~ Art Director & Lead Painter

MCD is a theatrical production design studio focusing on large scale kinetic sculpture and puppetry. I worked alongside Michael as his assistant designer, technical illustrator and storyboard artist. During my tenure I was the lead scenic painter and had hands on experience in all aspects of each project from concept to installation.
